The empirical precursor of inforenergetics is radiesthesia. In the field of radiesthesia, there have been practical pursuits in Romania since ancient times, consisting of discovering sources of water, oil, or gold through the traditional activities of well diggers, oil seekers, or gold seekers. It is noteworthy that the term that designates these professions refers not only to the exploitation and valorization of these resources but also extends to those who dealt with their detection through radiesthetic means. In the interwar period, between 1935 and 1940, engineer Simu Simeon, who was involved in determining the existence of oil deposits in the Prahova Valley, discovered approximately 50% of the oil and gold deposits through radiesthetic procedures. He is considered the father of radiesthesia in Romania. In 1940, he published the first manual of radiesthesia, in which he specified investigation methods, various parameters of found deposits, and described how to work with the indicator made of two rods tied at one end, which bears his name.

Inforenergetics is an interdisciplinary science, having illustrious precursors, authors of theories that are part of its foundation, such as acad. Eugen Macovschi, author of the biostructural theory of living matter, acad. Ştefan Odobleja, author of the consonantist theory, and assoc. prof. dr. Victor Săhleanu – director of the Institute of Anthropology of the Romanian Academy, honorary member of the Romanian Society of Radiesthesia and author of important works on radiesthesia.
